Planning a wedding is wild, right? One minute you're choosing wedding colours, and the next you're deep in a Google spiral wondering:
“Wait… when am I supposed to book my makeup artist?”
“Do I really need a makeup trial?”
“What if my skin breaks out right before the wedding???”
Take a deep breath, bride-to-be. Let’s talk through it! no gatekeeping, just real advice from someone who’s glammed up many, many girlies.

So... When Should You Book Your Makeup Artist?
Short answer? As early as you can.Long answer? Ideally 9–12 months before your wedding.
Yes, really. Especially if:
You’re getting married during peak season (like Sept–Dec or Chinese New Year weekends)
You want someone who specialises in sensitive skin or Korean-style makeup (👋 that’s us!)
You follow a makeup artist on IG and are low-key obsessed and don’t want to miss your chance
Slots for popular dates can go fast. Some of our brides book us right after securing their venue~ because once your date is locked in, hair and makeup are next!
Do I Need to Go for a Trial?
We highly recommend it. Here’s why:
You get to test how your skin reacts to the products (especially important for sensitive skin girls!)
You can try out different looks — soft glam? romantic Korean glow? a pop of lip colour?
You’ll feel way less anxious on the actual day. Like “ok I know I’m in good hands” kind of chill.
With our artists, our trial sessions are super chill hehe bring inspo pics, try different lashes, laugh, ask questions. We’re here to guide you.
“My Skin Breaks Out Easily. What If I Have a Pimple on My Wedding Day?”
First of all.. it’s okay. You’re human. It happens.
That said, here’s what we do:
We can help you with a gentle skin prep routine starting weeks before
We avoid products with alcohol, fragrance, or pore-clogging ingredients
We spot-conceal and colour-correct, not just layer on foundation
We use breathable, calming makeup that works with your skin, not against it
Bonus: we’ll share skincare tips you can start on now to keep your skin happy all the way to your big day.
Quick Checklist: When Should You Start?
What | When |

Avoid trying new skincare | 1 month out |
Stay hydrated + chill | Every day till you say “I do” 😘 |
Final Thought?
You’re not just booking someone to do your makeup. You’re booking someone who’ll be with you on one of the most emotional mornings of your life — calming your nerves, hyping you up, and making sure you feel like yourself, but extra radiant.
